Rob is a banking and finance professional with over 20 years’ experience across commercial, residential and asset finance with specific expertise in the third-party broker market.
Rob started his career at ING Mercantile Mutual Bank where he quickly rose through the ranks gaining experience in credit, property finance and origination. He subsequently gained exposure to wholesale mortgage funding running the sales and marketing function for a successful mortgage manager. Rob spent the next 8 years in commercial banking with the NAB and CBA subsidiary Bankwest, working with complex trading businesses and commercial property finance structures.
Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Applied Finance.

He has held senior roles with leading institutions including Citibank, St George, Suncorp, Pepper Money, Prime Capital and most recently Hound Group, where he led strategic sales direction within the fintech sector.
As Head of Sales at Selfco, Malcolm is a passionate advocate for brokers and Australian businesses, focused on delivering innovative funding solutions, strengthening broker capability, and building strategic partnerships. Renowned for his thought leadership, Malcolm continues to drive growth, innovation and sustainable outcomes across the lending ecosystem.

Stephen Mifsud is a highly experienced operations leader with a strong track record across Australia’s asset finance and automotive finance sectors. As Head of Operations at Selfco, Stephen oversees end‑to‑end operational performance, ensuring scalable, efficient processes that deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes for brokers and customers.
Prior to joining Selfco, Stephen spent over 12 years at Volkswagen Financial Services, where he held senior leadership roles including Head of Operations and Regional Manager. His responsibilities spanned credit, settlements, customer service, collections, retention, and disputes resolution, leading large, diverse teams and driving operational excellence across the business.
Stephen is known for his practical, people‑focused leadership style and his commitment to continuous improvement. His depth of experience plays a key role in strengthening Selfco’s operational capability and supporting sustainable growth across the broker‑led lending ecosystem.
