Brian is a finance professional with a long history in the Australian finance industry.
He has spent his working career in banking and finance, commencing at the Bank of NSW in 1966 in general banking. He has specialised in both agricultural finance and residential lending, holding senior positions with the Primary Industry Bank and ING, and as General Manager at Rabobank and ANZ. In these positions Brian has gained a thorough understanding of third party lending in Australia.
In 2001 Brian commenced his own business in mortgage management and later in asset finance funding.
Brian holds a Master’s Degree in Finance.
Rob is a banking and finance professional with over 20 years’ experience across commercial, residential and asset finance with specific expertise in the third-party broker market.
Rob started his career at ING Mercantile Mutual Bank where he quickly rose through the ranks gaining experience in credit, property finance and origination. He subsequently gained exposure to wholesale mortgage funding running the sales and marketing function for a successful mortgage manager. Rob spent the next 8 years in commercial banking with the NAB and CBA subsidiary Bankwest, working with complex trading businesses and commercial property finance structures.
Rob holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a Master’s degree in Applied Finance.
Bob has over 40 years international banking and leasing experience in Australia and overseas, having held various management positions with the Barclays group in South Africa. Bob has an in-depth knowledge of equipment leasing company systems and procedures, having developed and implemented leasing platforms at two equipment finance companies from scratch.
Bob started Small Ticket Finance Company in 2003, the aim was to launch and manage an equipment leasing portfolio to complement the existing mortgage management portfolio of the group, changing its name to Iden Leasing in 2006 (which became Selfco Leasing in 2015). During this time Bob has overseen the growth of Selfco Leasing from its infancy as Small Ticket Finance Company to a leading specialist equipment leasing company in Australia.
Bob holds an MBA specialising in Finance.
Matt joined us in 2020. He has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services sector in Australia, NZ and UK.
He has a strong background in establishing, growing, operating and managing businesses across commercial and consumer markets.
His previous roles include being the former Head of Asset Finance & Leasing at Investec Bank, CEO of Equigroup & Chief Operating Officer at Thorn.
He is also the founder and Managing Director of Sustainable Asset Finance
Ciaran comes to us with over 25 years Finance Experience, starting his career as a Credit Analyst with GE progressing to Dealer and Broker relationships within the group. He has extensive experience in consumer lending within the Motor Industry having spent over 10 years within BMW Dealerships.
Ciaran has worked with de Lage Landen as a Business Development Manager covering their Microsoft Finance program as well as Scania Finance covering 3 states in both roles. He has also owned his own brokerage and understands the complexities of this industry.
Ciaran brings a wealth of experience in all asset classes in both commercial and consumer lending. He holds a MBS in Accounting & Finance, Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgages and is a Qualified Financial Advisor.
Rod is an experienced Business Development Manager who specialises in Working Capital Solutions, specifically Vehicle & Equipment Finance.
Rod has more than 20 years of experience across a number of roles, including Sales in Retail Banking, Business Banking, International Trade & Equipment Finance. Rod commenced his career with the Nab before progressing to management & specialist roles within the CBA across both direct & third party channels.
James brings 30 years of finance experience to our knowledge wealthy team. Starting back in 1987 with Associated Brokers it was said back then he was the youngest finance broker in Australia at the same time he continued his studies for a post Associated Diploma in Accounting at night.
James worked internationally as a credit officer for Pitney Bowes Leasing, assessing and approving EF transactions and Morgan Stanley in currency trading. After living overseas for many years James returned home and established a very successful brokerage which included a consumer loans business, that he sold, which enabled him to focus solely on EF transactions.
James has provided EF funding services to thousands of small, medium and large corporate Australian businesses giving him excellent insight into the industry and enabling him to provide a high-quality level of service to our business partners.
Ben is a finance professional with over 20 years’ experience in consumer, commercial and asset finance. Ben started his career in finance with GE Money where over the next 10 years he gained experience to credit assessment, business development and people leadership through a number of management positions across WA, VIC and NSW.
He then moved into a role as an asset finance broker specialising in commercial finance, developing a thorough understanding of commercial finance products and exposure to more complex commercial transactions. Through his business development skills Ben was able to build a good client portfolio with a focus on helping his clients grow their business.
